Prior to arrest:Police may wish to speak to you prior to formal charges being made. Police also have the power to search your property with or without a warrant.

Arrested or given an notice to appear:If you have been formally charged or given a notice to appear in court, you need to get legal advice. You can request an adjournment yourself, of we can attend your first appearance for you.
We can then go on the record as your legal representative, collect your police charges, review the charges with you so you can make informed decisions. |

Case Conferencing with Police:We work through your charges and allegations to work out the best course of action and give you the best advice. We'll then enter discussions with Police and Prosecutors about resolving your matter.
We also look at alternative pathways such as Mental Health Court, Murri Court or Diversion Programs as relevant to your circumstances. |

Not Guilty - Going to Trial:If after case conferencing the charges still don't fit, then you don't have to plead guilty, you have the right to a trial.
For summary matters, we pursue the charges through the Magistrates Court. For indictable matters, we manage the Committal and Indictment to the higher courts, and can retain a Barrister to take the matter before judge and jury in the District or Supreme Court. |
